Looking for advice for 2015 LED headlight replacement

So when I first got this car the LED low beams seemed fairly bright but now are pretty dim. I am looking to replace these and wanted to see what advice people have for a good bulb for dark and windy roads for my nightly commute.

Highbeams are just the older halogens and I would like to swap those too if I can find a good bulb.

Unfortunately, your LED low beams are not replaceable. And I have not found any drop in LED bulbs that are brighter than the halogen high beam, not even Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0. Perhaps you could retrofit in some 9011 to the high beam. But the best bet is probably just to install some fog lights or driving lights for extra highbeams (or both!)

Generally LED either work (for a long time) or not. However, in rare cases, the integrated chip circuit may be affect by oxidation or some links on the circuit board deteriorating, as a result of a mishap in production, causing lower brightness on the long time. If it's too severe, the whole LED assembly then need replacement. The odds of having both headlights affected, and at the same time, are quite low. In any event, it may also be an electrical underlying problem or the external lens is somewhat fogged.

I know this phenomena has happened to me. I'll upgrade my lights and it will seem very bright for a while, but then I'll get used to it and it won't seem nearly as bright anymore. So it could be that you're just more used to the LEDs now.

If you're in a situation where you could use the high beam for long periods of time (like on those narrow dark roads), you could consider an HID kit, which would be much brighter than halogen or LED. But those take a little bit of time to warm up to full brightness.

I think I may go that route and some decent fog lights since mine has no fogs yet. I drive across many bridges over a large lake so literally something to cut the fog at times and see the dark sides of the roads as they are weavy and occasionally hilly which makes it feel like I have no illumination on some 6-12 mile stretches.

Wow I didn’t know the 11th Gen LED bulbs were permanent.

So to replace it, I’d have to replace the entire head lamp assembly?

Actually I’ll just YouTube it. It’s piqued my interest.
