Replacing the highlander gear shift indicator panel

Hi, The gear shift indicator panel on my 2017 highlander is badly scuffed (see red outline). I like to replace it. Does anyone know if I have to take half the console out to do this or it is a simple matter of unclipping the section holding the boot (blue circle). Hoping it is the latter. Your assistance is greatly appreciated...
Thanks much...

Thanks so much for the quick response. I tried doing so with some car polish - did not work. Just bought the car. I suspect someone spilt something like nail polish remover or something corrosive on it, which burnt the plastic. Very unusual.
I trust Plastic Polish is a little more corse than car polish.
Regards...

Vanga25, I got the part number - thanks. The question I have is, can the section shown in the blue circle simply get unclipped or do I need to remove a whole lot of parts to get there ie. the black plastic frame inclusive of the cup holders. Thanks much...

Hard to say, you will just have to experiment or find a Youtube video that does something completely different but relates to the removal of those parts. So research some videos or wait til the part comes in to examine it.

Took a bit of digging, but here is the thread I saw.

Hi, JaJ

I have the same question. Did you ever figure out the installation process? I’ve scoured YouTube and all over and can’t seem to find a step by step. Ordered a new part on eBay from China and hope it works but prefer it to be an easy process in case I got ripped off and need to pony up $200 for a dealer version. Thank you!
