A family member recently bought a Ford Escape SUV, and in going over the owners manual with him there's a symbol called "Shield the Eyes" that's included in the full list of possible display symbols that can be shown to the driver. Naturally, there's absolutely nothing in the owners manual to explain what the "shield the eyes" warning is for. Google searching turned up nothing except references to download the owners manual.
Does anyone out there know what the hell the "shield your eyes" symbol refers to in Ford vehicles? I want to know out of curiosity, not that I believe Ford has included that warning in case your Ford is driving in the direction of a nuclear fireball.
