I have a 2003 Corolla LE with 80,000 miles. Two weeks ago, it started shuddering when I accelerated right after getting on the highway. It did it again this weekend at the same spot. I haven't noticed any problems driving around town, and getting on the highway at other spots and accelerating gently doesn't cause a problem, but at this particular ramp there's a short merge lane and then a hill, so you have to accelerate more aggressively. Both times, the car begins shuddering noticeably around 60 - 70 mph. If I stop accelerating it continues shuddering, and I have to slow way down to get the shuddering to subside. Once it does, I can acclerate back up to 70 without it starting again.
