This is done at your own risk! Any ECU replacement MUST have the same part number that you are replacing.
  1. Key ON
  2. Turn off all accessories (radio, blower motor, etc.)
  3. If you have a old or weak battery, make sure to add a trickle charger to make sure the battery does not die
  4. Obtain a jumper cable (paper clip, wire, two T-pins soldered to a wire, etc.)
  5. Jump the connector holes that are highlighted
    1. Forth connector hole from the top left
    2. Forth connector hole from the bottom right
  6. Nearly all dash lights should light up
  7. Wait 31 minutes
  8. Key OFF
  9. Remove jumper cable
  10. Make sure vehicle starts
    1. This may take two tries

Vangm25 - I found out this procedure online after I swapped ECM's and car wouldn't even start. It got it to start, I thought I was all set, that's when I discovered can't go over 30 mph. I had to do it again when I swapped the old one back in. I may give it another shot before crawling back to the dealer. I only did it once, maybe 2x will do the trick...

Your issue is likely different as following this procedure, the first start will not start the car but the second will and everything should be fine. Your's had an issue, what issue that is hard to say.
