2007 Toyota Camry low beams issue, high beams work

I’m at my wit’s end. My 2007 Camry headlights stopped working all of a sudden. I’ve always used the auto headlight function and I’ve rarely touched the switch. One night, I noticed my headlights were dead, however, high beams work when you pull the selector or you push/lock it in place. The green headlight bulb indicator in my instrument panel does light up as if the headlights were in operation, both when manually set to on and at night on auto. I’ve replaced the low beams, no-go. I’ve swapped the high beam fuses with the low beam fuses (all are 15A), no change (low beams dead, high beams ok). I’ve heard there are relays, but I can’t seem to find them. I did find a pdf with a wiring diagram and it says the relays should be in the same module as the fuses in the engine compartment (Unit D, if I recall correctly), but all I see are fuses in that section, and the other relays near it have nothing to do with headlights. That’s the last thing I got left, to find those relays and replace them. Anyone know how to access them, or could it be something else I’m overlooking?
Once again, I have a 2007 Camry LE with the V6 engine.

According to the ESM for a 2009 Camry (same gen as yours) the relays are in Unit D as you stated in your original post but the title of the diagram includes the words "Inner Circuit" which leads me to believe that you will need to take apart the engine compartment fuse/relay assembly in order to reach them.
looking at the 2009 wiring diagram (I don't know how much different it is from the 2007) shows that the Hi beam and the Lo beam circuits for each side have a common ground point and a common +12 feed.
Unless both relays are dead (possible but not probable??) my guess your problem is with the control.
If you can get access to the connectors that plug into that Unit D - Fuse/relay box there are 2 wires you can probe
A Violet wire for Hi beam
A Pink wire for the Lo beams relays. This wire should show going to ground when you operate the headlight sw.
BTW there is also a device in the D unit called light control circuit, it looks like it has to do with the Hi beams and DRL (I don't know if it has anything to do with the Lo beams.
If you are interested I can scan some of the ESM pages and email them to you - see my signature

Hey fellas. First of all, Happy New Year, let's hope it's a better one than 2020. Sorry for the extremely late reply, lots of things happening on my end.

I grabbed a mulimeter and measured the fuses and I had power. Weird. I checked the headlight plugs and I also have power there! So I look at the new headlight cable, and it hit me. LED headlights. My bulbs are LED. The bulbs I used from another car were also LED. I plugged them in the same way (same polarity). I used the multimeter and checked which pin had ground and which pin had power. You can see where this is going. So I flipped the plug around. And proceeded to spend hours kicking myself in the ass because such a stupid fix was all it took to make the headlights turn on. I messed up the polarity.

The lesson: don't be quick to assume you have a massive over-complicated problem with an equally hard solution. Try the simple stuff first. Also, I was used to halogen always working when plugged in, I didn't give the LEDs a second thought. Thanks for all your help!!!

TL;DR: Got LEDs, they didn't work, reversing the polarity helped. Thank you Doctor!
