I have 1 CD jammed in my 2008 Highlander's JBL audio player. Wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how to get the disc out? Thx.

I've removed CDs before from other units. You'll need to remove the headunit, the top cover only if possible, turn some gears or rollers to release the CD from the tray or spindle, then slide it out.

I will likely repair it with an after-market unit. Any suggestions?
There are the double DIN units from the typical name brands or Android-based units that have a smoother integrated look. Plan to spend at least $100-$250 just for the JBL interface controller if you go with the typical double DIN. Android-based units will typically include the controller, but you'll need to work with the seller for the proper one. There are a few threads about aftermarket radio installation, search and take a look. There is also a long thread in the Gen3 HL forum about Android unit, so you can also get an idea of the interface and reaction.

Thanks Luc, looks like a bit of work in order to find the right replacement unit.

Cheapest and easiest replacement if you cannot remove the CD would be to look for a used exact model on Ebay or similar website. Companies "part out" salvage cars for all kinds of individual parts. You will need to research if a replacement will function because of "anti theft" / unit registration that Toyota may employ.
