2011 Camry LE... Does a fog light switch go into this dash knockout? (with photos)

I've got a 2011 Camry LE and I'm looking for a part number and/or a source of a switch...

Please see the attached photos. I'm hoping that a switch goes in this circled hole, and I'm hoping to use it to control a set of fog lights. Maybe the XLE model had something in this hole?

Or is there a better way to do a switch?

If there are european or japanese parts that will do the job better I have no problem with that, as long as there is a way to get them...

BTW I'm still trying to find a right side front door handle with a key... The parts guys at three local dealers are convinced that a right side door handle with a lock was never made (i.e. they can't get parts for a right hand drive Camry).

Thanks in advance

Mike

It can be used for anything. If you want to use it for fog lights, you can. If you want to use it for a fuel pump shut off, you can. You have two methods to install fog lights:
  • Check to see if you are pre-wired for fog lights and then get all associated hardware
  • Buy an aftermarket fog light set and use that hole for the switch

I understand that it can be used for anything. My question was what did Toy use it for? What device - a switch, a twisty knob, what? did Toy make for that hole? Can I buy the switch? What part number?

On a previous car - a 2000 Camry - there was a dealer part (a switch) made for an existing knockout hole and I was able to buy that switch and install it. I just walked into the parts department with a photo and the parts guy looked up the XLE parts and handed me the switch.
On this 2011 LE the parts guy hadn't a clue... Maybe it was a clueless parts guy....

These, use them in the dash knock outs on my T100 for a aux. light bar.

My 2007 Camry Hybrid has switches in both of those places. One is to activate 'eco mode' for the HVAC system. The other is the gas door release. The hybrids models have push-buttons for the fuel door located there compared to the floor pull on other Camrys.

All Camrys of that generation (2007-2011) that came from the factory with fog lights had the switch incorporated into the turn signal/headlight stalk.
