So today it’s 82 degrees out and my air conditioner in my 18 Camry decided to stay on permanently. I’m freezing my butt off. None of the climate buttons are responding to pressing. I can’t get the air to turn off, up, down etc. All the radio buttons are working fine. Any ideas??

I’m having the same problem with my everything else works but the buttons to turn on the ac or off, increase and decrease the temp etc they just don’t work, I did trying turning the car off for a little and that didn’t work it’s just frozen.

I believe that the compresor clutch is operated by a relay in the fuse panel on the left fender. It could be that the relay is stuck in the on position, so that the compressor is engaged all the time, Toyota gets about $60 for the relay, auto parts stores sell a aftermarket for about $20, which should be good enough.. You could check the operation of the relay or just buy one and replace it to see if that is the problem. I am not a mechanic and cannot guarantee that is the issue, but you may want to check into it. Good Luck.
