2021 Camry Refresh | What new features should the MY21 Camry have

According to The Fast Lane, Toyota is going to do a midcycle refresh for the 2021 and will introduce all new 9th generation design for 2024. So for the 2021, what changes they are going to have? Would they keep the same body panels and tweak the lamps, grill, etc. like most midcycle refresh? Or they would introduce new shaped body panels like they did for the 7th gen 2015-17 models? What are your thoughts?

All of the above, with a 6 speed sequential gearbox.

Or maybe, they'll bring back Champagne beige as a color choice.

2021 Camry will be the same, no refresh/redesign for 2021. Three things that Toyota should change/add, for the xse/xle trims make the digital speedometer bigger. In the Avalon you can make it so only a big MPH shows up on the MID. Another will be for all trims/grades, make the needle for the analog Speedometer, Trachometer, and all move all the way to the end and back down. I believe the TRD camry does this. Third would be, put the words Camry or a picture of the camry in the MID or infotinament display when the car starts up. Pretty much every toyota car except the camry has this.

Are you sure? Toyota does a light refresh by a vehicle's 4th year...so I think we should expect some minor design changes.

So this will be the first time in history that there won’t be an update as everything looks the same.... the only possible changes are the taillights which would a new color scheme.... all clear with red bulbs or amber shading on the turn signal or run a chrome across the emblem trunk lid.... we shall see..

The one thing that I hope that they update whenever they do the refresh is to get rid of the fake exhaust tips. They look fine on a brand new Camry, but after a few weeks- it looks horrible. The inner exhaust finisher starts to blacken- but the outer ones always stay shiny and new looking. I notice it on every Camry with the dual exhaust tips- both on one side and on both sides with the "quad" exhaust. Either make them real or take em down to a single one per side.

Oh- and a Camry V6 without the TRD package that can be had for around $30K out the door would be nice- especially if dealers actually stocked them. It's possible to spec a 2020 Camry V6 in XLE form with an MSRP of about $35k and if dealers stocked them, it would likely be possible for near 30K... but in my neck of the woods the only V6 models that are ever in stock have MSRPs of $39K.

Probably in the next two months.

Eh, Mercedes, BMW and Porsche are still number 1 when it comes to fake exhaust tips and they've been doing it for years. It's pretty ugly how they do it.

Get some black heat resistant spray paint or cut those off and put real ones on. I've seen some nice ones on www.carid.com
