I'm considering the Prime, but concerned about how I'm going to be able to charge it while parked in my driveway. Can anyone tell me the length of the charging cord that comes with the vehicle?

I'm considering the Prime, but concerned about how I'm going to be able to charge it while parked in my driveway. Can anyone tell me the length of the charging cord that comes with the vehicle? The manual has about a dozen warnings against using extension cords.
Warning about extensions is a liability thing. They say you cannot use a space heater with an extension cord for the same reason, because many extension cords only use 16AWG wire and are rated at 12 amps, and not 15. you can totally use an extension cord, but you really need a beefy one. I would use a high quality cord that is 12AWG with a ground (written frequently as 12/3) and is no longer than 25 feet. I have a cord from yellow jacket that is very nice.

To Reiterate: your car's charger will consume a similar amount of power to a space heater. Space heaters have a similar warning, but it can be done. just use the shortest cable that you can get away with and get one that is 12/3 wire which will be heavier and more expensive, but worth it.
