Shortly after getting my Corolla, I had the inside windshield tinted with 70% 3M crystalline film. It does a fantastic job blocking incoming heat & UV to the dash/vehicle, even in southern Arizona where the sun is super-intense in the summer & it hits a scorching 120-121 degrees Fahrenheit. Also makes the A/C run on lower stress settings even during those high heat/temp ranges. It's technically illegal to tint the front windshield, but pretty much impossible to detect if you aren't going with darker tint film.

 

Thanks. I heard it's illegal to have windshield tinted too. I am looking for a simple and cheaper option Wow that's 49C. I thought our summer (Perth, Western Australia) is super hot. We have a few days of 42C in summer. But in the outback I think it has similar hot summer like yours.

Nice mat. Is it airbags compatible?

 

Isn't the front passenger side airbag directly under your cover and those stickers? If the airbag pops, all those will be launched at a high speed.

 

If my airbag deploys I have bigger things to worry about than getting pelted by pvc badges.

 

I run the XUKEY mat on eBay. Very nice actually! Only complaint is I refuse to use the adhesives (they'll ruin the dash over time) and the mat slides around a couple mm sometimes. This causes the mat to cover the sensor for the automatic lights, thus leaving them on during day.
