I do not understand the logic behind this. Pressing door open on the remote once unlocks driver door. Pressing it twice unlocks all doors. When you place the shift in park after driving all the doors unlock. Why not only the doors that were unlocked in the first place.

Basically, because adding memory to the doors unlocking after shifting would require adding more logic and programming into the ECU, which is a very low priority for something very few people will notice, and even fewer who will care.

My vehicle has a setting in the infotainment to control the car’s door behavior. Check there; if not, ask the dealer to set it for you.
It does have options to control that behavior, but Only the two options I mentioned that are related to this topic. There is not an option to change whether the Auto Unlock from shifting into park unlocks one or all doors.

Logic assumes that driver is getting in and out of the vehicle at the same time as passengers. It does not take into account Uber/Lyft situations when driver stays and passengers are getting in and out of the car that is still running...
