Has anyone installed KYB strut plus units?

I normally just replace the struts/compress the springs but curious if the ride height stays the same with these and general feedback. I have over 200k and everything is original. The ride is a little floaty but I’ve only put about 40 miles on it since I bought it so not exactly sure how it should feel.

I wouldn‘t consider any other quick strut brands, curious if the KYB’s are close enough to OEM separate components.

thanks

Can't speak for the plus models, when I replaced my struts, they only sold individual parts, not the full package with a spring. I reused my old springs. But I put the KYB struts on 3 years ago and have put about ~40-50K miles on them since with zero issues (haven't noticed a difference in ride either. I plan to keep these until I replace the car. They will definitely improve the ride, at ~165K miles when I replaced the OEM struts, they were definitely worn,

Yes, the strut plus units are struts/springs/strut mounts ready to bolt right up. This job has been an absolute nightmare for a bunch of reasons, mostly rust. I had to cut the rear CA bolt and ball joint nut and re-tap one of the swaybar bracket holes. Replacing the sway bar bushings alone are a huge PIA because of limited access.

Hoping tmrw to get pass side done and driver side will go a lot faster and rears should be a piece of cake.

Does anyone have more feedback on the KYB Strut Plus for the Highlander? Curious to see what people think about them - I'm read some positive and negative comments online but I'm sure it depends on the model/vehicle as well.

I'm at almost 200k miles, and my front strut mount needs to be replaced, and I'm trying to decide between the Strut Plus assembly or replacing the strut/mount/seat/bumper/dust cover with Toyota parts.

Had over 200k on my OEM. Frankly the struts themselves could have gone longer, but a bearing was starting to make noise. Anyway I went w/ KYB Strut Plus. Only have about 5k on them but happy so far. So no issues w/ install or performance. Longevity TBD.

I don't expect 'em to last as long as the OEM but in my case it's a 12yo vehicle w/ 200k+ miles, I don't need them to hold up as long as OEM.

It gets harder and harder to justify OEM parts given the age of these 2nd gens. I pick and choose where I think the aftermarket options are just garbage and/or the labor to replace a short-lived part isnt worth the gamble. e.g. I went w/ OEM front lower control arms.

Ok, I think folks have convinced me to save $1000 and go with KYB quick struts. In an ideal world I'd be rolling a used 2021 HH for $33k but why waste money when I can get another 50k out of this beast (also had to throw down 1k on new summer tires, need new snow too, another 1k so this stuff adds up but sill 100x better than a $600 x 60 car payment. Have not done jack shite really in past 4 years - plugs $500 and windshield, loose front axel nut .... crazy reliable - oh, OEM rotors and pads all around when we got her at 130k. Next issue will be timing belt :( at 230K
