Passenger window won't go down with one press

When I press the window down button, it will open about 1/8th in (maybe 1/4 in), then stop. Even if I press all the way down to do auto down. If I press it again, it will go down all of the way. I noticed it is making a little bit of noise. Upon further examination, I noticed the window moves laterally once moving. My driver's side does not do that.
Here is a slo-mo video

Here is a full speed and longer.

Have you tried putting the window half down, and then closing it and holding the switch up for 7 seconds? Or putting the window all the way down and then closing it and holding the switch up for 10 seconds? Not sure if it needs to be in ignition mode or engine on or just off. Probably won't work but thats how i re-initiate the automatic windows switch on my parents RX 350. Other than that, best to just take it to the dealer.

I guess the camry has 2 levels of push down when using automatic window opening, so that's awesome.

Mine doesn't do what OP does, it almost looks like it's jammed up. I noticed when holding the up on the button to close the window after 5 seconds it would make a noise. that may be a setting where you have to reset the window configuration
Keep in mind, with the old technology of an 08 Camry when using the AUTO DOWN button it has a sort of "two-step" button in that when you push down on it it will go down as long as you push it but if you push it down harder and manage to push the secondary button it will AUTO DOWN. I believe with newer Toyota's with AUTO UP & DOWN it has that same "two-step" except now it is a "four-step" so that it can go AUTO UP or AUTO DOWN.
  • AUTO DOWN
    • Tap DOWN -- Window goes down a little bit
    • Push all the way DOWN until you feel that click -- Window automatically goes all the way down
  • AUTO
    • Tap DOWN -- Window goes down a little bit
    • Push all the way DOWN until you feel that click -- Window automatically goes all the way down
    • Tap UP -- Window goes up a little bit
    • Pull all the way UP until you feel that click -- Window automatically goes all the way up
Whether or not Toyota has a safety feature to prevent someone cutting their hand off when AUTO is used, I would not know.
