Greetings Toyota fam. Especially Venza Crew... have a question for you all. Have you though about customizing your steering wheel for comfort and style, colors even a flat bottom design.?? I'm thinking about getting it done. Anyone out there has or had this done..? If so, how do you like it and was it worth doing...? I know that the 2nd generation Venza, Camary( 2013....2017 ) can find a nice custom steering wheel on line. But the 1st generation ( 2007--2012 ) don't have the same options. Other than finding a Special custom steering wheel company to design it for you. So for the 1st generation folk, if you could change your steering wheel, would you get it done..??

Greetings Vangm25, I am thinking about it for my 2012 Venza. And I have found a company who can customize what I want with material and flat bottom steering wheel design. If I had the 2013 model, I could get for under $400. But on one makes it. So I to get a custom wheel, and that cost $800. More then double. Hummmm I will see... thx

Hello all, I saw this post and thought I would chime in. I've got a 13 Venza with a few mods. While browsing Ebay last year, I discovered the Revesol steering wheel would fit the 13-15 Venza. After looking further, I noticed it also fit the 13-15 Camry SE wheel with paddle shifters. So I bought the Revesol wheel for $249, and I bought a used Camry wheel for $100 shipped. I combined them, and wired up the paddle shifters using the stock Venza steering wheel controls/plugs and stock Venza clockspring. If anyone is interested, I offer an install kit for $50 to wire a 13-15 Venza column for a 13-15 Camry SE paddle shifter steering wheel. Kit includes everything but the Camry wheel- step by step instructions with pics, etc... The paddle shifters provide a much greater level of control over shifting as you don't need to take your hands off the wheel. FYI, the two buttons at the bottom of my wheel in the pic are custom, and have nothing to do with the Camry wheel or Revesol wheel.

Greetings " Willcipher1 " I also saw that " Revesol " Sterling wheel on ebay. That is where I got the idea about changing my Sterling Wheel to a flat bottom steering wheel. So after researching. They don't make a flat bottom steering wheel forthe 09' -- 2012 years.. Trust me if they did i would have it on already...lol
I do like what you did to your 2013 model Venza... NICE..!!!!

The sub is nothing fancy, just a Fosgate 10" in an Amazon box. Back in the day, I would've fabbed up a custom box with MDF and fiberglass, LOL. I think the 17" flip down with XBox One was the overall best interior mod; it made road trips much easier(y)

wow nice write up! this is sticky content :)

I'm good with electronics and electricity but I'm not sure if I have the time to do that kind of install/integration, nice job!
I kept my living room simple-ish, have a motorized screen with a ceiling mounted projector, ran HDMI in-wall and added receptacles for the wall mounted TV, projector and screen when I had all the walls open.
I should have ran speaker wires as well because right now I'm just running a Dolby Atmos 3.1.2 upfiring setup and it's not that great, should have kept the surrounds instead in a traditional 5.1 setup.

I'm kind of a 'baller on a budget' when it comes to home AV stuff. I got my living room Yamaha receiver (RX-A820) at Best Buy around 8 years ago, as a discontinued floor sample for like 1/3 the price. I got my garage Yamaha receiver (RX-V675) for $50 off Craigslist; some lady was like, 'we don't need it because we got a soundbar'. Both receivers are HDMI switching, app controlled with 2 zones, allowing me to control everything, everywhere. All my speakers, subs, bass shakers (6), and bass shaker amp are Dayton Audio products. I've been a big fan of
Parts Express for over 20 years.

I also run 2x Aurasound basshaker in my couch plus the Dayton slim subwoofer tucked between the wall and couch, works wonder :)
Nothing too fancy here either, just some Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers BS-22 but the Atmos enabled ones, should have just bought the regular bookshelf used for $100 instead but I spurged on the receiver and got a slimline Class-D VSX-S520, big on the WAF (wife acceptance factor), the PS5 looks like a behemoth next to it haha.

But shipping is expensive to get parts-express stuffs shipped across the border.

Very cool garage, mine is just a storage mess with plys and drywall while I'm renovating the house.
