Please forgive such a simple question, but I'm having trouble finding guidance beyond Group Size 35. What CCA do I need? I live in Colorado and do light city driving. I plan to get a new car within 2 years.

I'd prefer to purchase from Advance Auto Parts (due to convenient location), but that's just a preference.

I'm from Canada where it gets probably as cold as CO and I up'ed the CCA to 650 from 550 which was the stock (Went with AC Delco silver line though don't think it is avail at Advance - mostly just auto parts distributors that sell to shops and garages seem to carry AC Delco batteries and not more retail places).

Deka/East Penn derived batteries are excellent. Might have to hunt obscure small stores in your area for them.

I would plug Batteries plus bulbs but they stole my money so their Duracell rebrands of Deka batteries can go to hell.
Unless you need a battery nobody else has, I would not recommend Batteries Plus Bulbs for a battery. Their prices are too high and don't offer any better product thasn any car part store. Go to Walmart and get the same battery for less money. I'm right with you, brother. Batteries Plus Bulbs does advertize cheaper replacement chip keys but I've never bought one from them.

Get the interstate battery from your local Costco like @kevcules46 suggested. Or get a group 35 from your walmart - they are well rated and do a great job at a price much cheaper than the auto parts chains stores.

Really any size 35 battery that has 640 or higher of CCA should be fine. Most passenger automotive batteries are made by three or four big companies so there really isn't much difference between them unless you go with the gel batteries. If one is only going to replace the car in two years then any generic battery from any store, Walmart, Costco, etc. should be fine.

Personally I've had good luck with buying batteries from my local Costco warehouse over the years. Currently they are selling Interstate batteries.

Which top you got? And are they worth it to you, starting, running, performance wise.

I’m relocating the battery to the trunk soon. Thinking about upgrading to a Group 34 and mounting it to a billet tray. Optima seems to be popular and has the nicest mounts available from what I see.
