That looks about right. You can adjust your headlight up/down and left/right by using the adjuster screws... The gen2 Camry headlight really suck, so do your best.

how far up do u put yer beams up to. i might plan to move my beams up farther + i have fogs so it sort of helps me.

 

Along with blinding other drivers, you will waste light if you aim your headlights too hight. Turn off your fog lights and aim the lights up as far as is useful while still having them point slightly down. Also make sure to flip to your high beams to make sure they still have a reasonable pattern. Once you have your headlights set correctly, aim your fogs so that they fill in the lower part of your headlight pattern. In the end, your goal is to get as much light ON the road, and not in other drivers' eyes.

How come the right beam is brighter/whiter than the left? I should have done one stock and one SilverStar in my car to see how it compares. Eh..after putting in the SilverStars I haven't looked back. Sucks though because now Sylvania has got me hooked on the SilverStars!

 

I think it's because of the background...there's a brown wall on the left, but a white door on the right.

 

no hes right the right one is brighter than the left. i dont know why but i guess its because its a GEN 2!! got any suggestions such as new harness? or new headlights because it was kind of messed up due to my cuz gettin into a minor accident. they had the car before they passed it to me.

 

well, if your original lamp is from 1988.....that would be why its not as bright....

 

Get some silverstars and see how much better it is. If it's still dim then get new lenses.

 

silverstars sucked on my car and on my friends 95 escort. i dont know its prob because its cause my cars beam sux and its 9004. but right now im using Eurolites and have extra PIAA bulbs laying around. I bet its the headlight itself cause i think they are out of proportion(sp?). and also not sure if some of you guys noe but just putting it out there is that gen2s lens are glass or something close to it just not plastic or those new lenses that are being used now.

 

I have a gen 2 with some riced out "import showff" blubs...its cheap and it does the trick i will post some pics like sometime this week...

 

shows how my fogs are i think they are bothering people in front of me cause they move out of my way. i love it but sux for them. i prob have to point it down more but i aimed my beams father up the road more after i took the pic
