I am trying to keep my new HL neat and tidy. I know there are small, waterproof garbage cans which can attach to the back of the front passenger seat, behind the center console, to the right of the drink holders on the dash.

What have you found to be the best location for storing a small garbage can?

Thanks!

In my case, the front seat back pouches are to store new/empty garbage bags; generally just throw the used bag(s) of garbage out at each gas stop. Luckily, my kids are all grown up now, so any family road trip besides water bottles, we just eat at the next resturant or rest stops etc... I have for many many years, not having a garbage can in my car, as there is an empty can anyone who rides in the car, especially those in the back seats (including my guests) will manage to leave an used tissue in it from time to time.... Ohhh No!

Depends on your garbage type, is your garbage like tissue's, paper, scraps, fruit? Or is your garbage the one soda can and fountain drink in your cup holders? On long trips (alone) the only foods I might bring with me is beef jerky, two Tornado's, one 52 oz Speedy Freeze, and two Red Bull's that I throw out once I reach either a gas station or my destination. On trips (with others) everything just goes into a small garbage bag that we throw out once we reach our destination. On daily drives, the only trash I am willing to leave in my car are soda can's or bottles and paper.

I generally just try to keep my car clean but I get lazy at times but I won't leave... degradable garbage like fruit in it. Paper, cardboard, and can's in the cup holder is fine...

I have a small plastic trash can held in place by 2 bungee cords. One end of the bungee cord is hooked onto part of the metal frame of the driver/passenger seat and the other end is hooked onto the side of the plastic trash can. The trash can is in the center directly behind the center console. I line the trash can with medium size trash bags and keep the box of trash bags in the bottom of the trash can.

door pockets... only stuff that isn't sloppy/sticky.. empty them frequently. Now, having said that, make sure you empty and keep crumbs cleaned up. I am currently having a mouse problem in my camry(second time). Just had one in a trap on my front passenger floor this morning(set trap cause I found droppings on the passenger seat the other day.) Not sure how they get in but I found a nest in my spare tire area a few years ago. I live in the woods and keep traps set in my garage(like 6 of them) all the time. I hope to not have this issue with the HL(hopefully its sealed up tighter??) But with 3 kids and frequent road trips for hockey games, theres always crumbs/garbage in my vehicles lol..
